Aby-Jo for Wilma's Orginal

Model Credit: Aby-Jo from www.bodynsoulmodels.com Model Representation: Dore Models Clothing: Wilma's Orgininals Shot on location at Garden of Eden, Suriname This image of Suriname's top model and my dear friend Aby-Jo was shot for Surinamese designer Wilma Stomp. The image was used in a flyer about her work for her participation at the XVth Caribbean Gifts and Crafts Show in Barbados this year. Suriname had never participated in the fashion design category and as such Wilma was relatively unknown. The oprganisation scheduled her originally as the opening act of the fashion show. When they say the flyer and the 6 images of Aby-Jo that we shot for the flyer, they decided that Wilma would be the final act of the show and the main attraction for the evening. The judges and the public where actually rightfully impressed and Wilma won the Best New Designer Award during the show. Caribbean Fashion Week should be the next target, and I hope we all will be there, Representing!!

Rachel the Rachel

Model Credit: Rachel from www.bodynsoulmodels.com Makeup: Euvie from www.bodynsoulmodels.com Client: Tomahawk - Your Outdoor Adventure Starts at Tomahawk Shot on location at Overbridge Resort, Suriname Did this work with Rachel while shooting for a client. After the shoot we kept on shooting of course. This image is one of my preferred shots from the "Aftershoot". I postprocessed it in this specific way on purpose, to give it an actionhero feeling. As Rachel said: "Rachel the Rachel"

Aby-Jo

Model: Aby-Jo from www.bodynsoulmodels.com Model Representation: Dore Models Did this studio shot for Aby-Jo' s portfolio. She is not only Suriname's Top Fashion Model, but also a very dear friend. The image was also recently used in a newspaper article featuring her in De Ware Tijd, Suriname's largest daily newspaper. The article was named, Aby-Jo, Talented, Intelligent and Beautiful but I can assure that the tile could have included much more beautiful words about Aby. Sensitive, Visionary, Creative and similar wordings come to mind. A woman hat impresses and sure will cntinue to do so till the end of times, but first and foremost a very dear friend who I love to work with in front of my camera.

Pura Beleza

Model Credit: Carol Caldeira Model Representation: Doré Models The first time I shot Carol was during the 2005 Atelier Dore Jewelry Fashion show. Now she is back in front of my camera. While we only tested a bit during the shoot, she inspired my creativity and I decided to open the gates. Beautiful model model, even more beautiful personality, such a wonderful person, we'll be shooting a lot more, but this shot will give you a glimpse of where my creativity is taking me. And now that my vcreative block is certainly gone for a while, I have no problem also shooting what I used to do, I now know which direction to add to my portfolio, there should be a lot of surprises coming your way. Enjoy...

Big Cats

Model Credit: Averyn Model Representative: Doré Models Makeup: Gillian Calor Assistance: Fausto Fraser Sometimes Big Cats hang out in trees. Relaxing or looking for prey from afar? The safest place to watch them remains the Catwalk, although good eyes can spot them on the streets. Even if they try to camouflage themselves among the Household Kittens. There is no question to the mind of the photographer when he meets eye in eye with a Big Cat, instant recognition, and if he is good with the camera, he will catch a wonderful Big Cat playing in the wild. Like the Leopard, I caught in a tree here.
